IDS presents, "Carnival Around the World," at the end of each year during
the spring. The studio hosts this production as a professional performance and invites guest artists to participate in the program with the students.The show is designed to provide dancers with the experience and knowledge to perform in a professional production. This performance provides an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents and dancing accomplishments. Therefore, it is important for both students and parents to learn and understand how the show is conducted and what is to be expected.
Seminars will be provided during the year in preparation for the show. This way, the performance will be an enjoyable experience.
International Dance Studio also has a performance troupe that represents the quality of the studio and all it has to offer. The International Dance Studio Troupe is a compilation of visual and performance arts, with a repertoire which includes ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern dance, tap, salsa, and Argentine tango. The troupe rehearses throughout the year for various projects and performances working with various organizations such as the Oklahoma Arts Council, Allied Arts, Prairie Dance Theater, University of Oklahoma, City Church, OSU-OKC, and the American GI Forum Rocco Chapter. The IDS troupe has participated in a plethora of sporting and cultural events.
The troupe has performed at the Ford Center for the NBA Hornets. Also, these talented dancers have displayed their enormous talent at an Oklahoma University soccer match and at the History Museum. These fine artists have also proudly represented the great state of Oklahoma at salsa conventions all over the country.
